Since luckalot seems to think we should have one. lets see what everyone else thinks.
Things to consider. Would you lose your char? yep. Would you lose all your hard work? definitely Would you gain a chance to be first to lvl 100? yep Would all guild houses be buyable agian? yep. Would this mean the guild mansion is up for grabs? better beleive it. Would this mean you lose all current lvl 100 gift craft combos? no. Would this mean your upgrades on your houses are gone? nope. Does this mean you will all be low lvl newbs on the same playing feild? yea. Is this a good idea? dont put that on my shoulders. ;D you decide!
Will need at least 80% to yes, so dont worry. Even the smallest of voices can be heard.
Good Luck!

I vote no, unless there are really important changes to the game balance. Much as I like Akarra, I don't feel like starting the same stuff all over again.

I wanted a wipe for a while, but it seems like most of the plvled characters have already quit. The few that still play, no one will FS with and all they can do is multilog and randomly PK newbs. So I think that's justice enough.
The guildhouse thing will be a problem though, since they're nearly all bought up by inactive guilds.
A wipe would be fun, but I'd hate to risk losing players over it. I'd stay, but if we'd lose more than we'd gain it wouldn't be worth it.

I believe that a player wipe is necessary because of the Guild House problem , yes most have quit, But if they decide to come back , they still have the character that they unfairly made.

I personally don't care how the char was levelled, you can't abuse gh monsters now anyway. Just enjoy playing your own char and don't let envy about the past take over you:)

I voted yes to the player wipe. You may all think that because i am a new player, it obviously easier for me to say I agree with the player wipe as i have nothing to lose etc.... But for the past week i have been in game, there have been no more than 2-3 players (high level players) on at anytime. Maybe alot of people left because they feel they have achieved everything and the competition of leveling etc has gone. That's why i believe that a player wipe would be a good idea as it may bring more people back to the game, and IMO would not be such a big risk as there are not many players that can still be lost from it. Also from starting the game last week, i have played virtually on my own mostly, as there are no other players to play with. Because of this the game for me is starting to become boring and repetitive and I am already starting to play less and less. So for other new player's it must feel exactly the same, which makes me wonder how you are going to attract new players to the game when the game has become almost unenjoyable IMO. Lastly if there is another player on they will most likely be very high level players, who have absurds amount of money and items, and try and make it very clear how much better they are than you.... lol. Because of this at level 5 without asking, i was given a total of 6 horses and as much money as i could carry. ;D It may be all well and good for me now, but it really does take the fun out of the game as noobs should be poor, dreaming of what it will be like of one day owning a horse etc.. (which kept me motivated to playing until levels 50+ on other servers . Overall i feel that the game has become almost impossible for new players to enjoy and play, which in the end may result in me aswell as many others new players leaving. If you all want to preserve your level's and achievements then fine, but it will also be the end for Akarra. The question is though which do you care about most?? Thx

Erm.. Don't you think that many players might actually leave if their chars have been wiped? As you have stated, the levelling is a bit repetitive, especially if you've gone through it N times already. Besides what I like in Akarra is making different char builds and achieving a certain result. E.g. soloing an elderly dragon without mana/hp/stam pots:)
And the new stuff is added for high-levels mostly, so there's still room to explore. Though it might be a good idea to set an intermediate levelling goal at lvl 150 or so before lvl 200, to give players an incentive:) Lvl 200 is almost impossible to reach without really high-level monsters..
And the number of players in the game also depends on the time you play. Most players are from US I think.

Of course I voted No, been through too many of these. Anyway how are you doing Luck?
I have always been ok with a wipe as long as an admin would take your highest level char and restore you with a new char of the same level and some newb gear equal to your level. You don't have to have the same name or same class. it would be like a char reset but all the items and skills would still get wiped. Usally thats why admins wipe the server anyway to reset items and skills.
this would not be that hard for the admins to do and id bet you would have 80-90% return of people instead of 25% at best with a full wipe.

I think that we need a revote. And it should only need more then 50%. I really think we do need a char wipe. I think we also need to get more players on akarra. So lets wipe the server. Lets advertise akarra and drum up some new players and bring back the fellowships of the old days.

A wipe alone won't make a horde of new players rush in I'm afraid. Nor make all of the inactive players come back.
