When u do Cpt Pete's quest u will get rewards, So if u do all his quests as mundane ull get a rewards for doing them as mundane. That mean u will not get Fighting 3 or Magic use 3, and no admins will not spawn u these skills if u forget to change class before finishing Cpt Pete's last Quest.

I really think thats dumb, now my whole character is wasted, because you cannot find these skills anywhere else in the game. In my opinion only an pure idiot would make it so you do a quest and your WHOLE character is ruined, Khaile was not an idiot, IN EVERY OTHER QUEST IN THE GAME! he gave you the skill no matter what class you were.

I have 2 suggestions, 1. Put these skills up for sale for 50gc somewhere. 2. As a mundane you get both fighting III and MU III, theres no way to equip both of them or trade them.

personally i agree with budman, having a quest that gives a reward should be given to all class no matter weather they are mundane or not. It would not matter in the slightest if for mundane classes it gave both MU3 and Fighting 3 because to equip fighting 3 you must be of certain class requirements. It is impossible to have both of these skills equiped at once so what difference does it make to give both skills out from this quest? they arent even tradable so there is no way you can benefit from getting both skills...

That's just plain Retarded. The warning is now given to everyone about Petes quest. Budman clearly didn't know that. And it's a flaw in the game that Mundanes get nothing for completing it. Could have just spawned it that one time. It's not like they forget, they didn't know.

Another idea is to have the reward issued like Holgers celler quest does. Allow you to chose a reward.

the best fix would be to set petes manuscript to check and see what class you are then have separate rewards.

I think all skills should be made universally available somehow to prevent both new players and regulars from mistakenly losing crucial skills, it happens.
I like Jehu's idea. Have them available for purchase from Pete once his quests have been completed, similar to Holger's Cellar quest. This'll cover players who were rewarded while Mundane, discarded the skill, or had a full pack, got disconnected, etc.

I dont know why you keep complaining about this. If your mundane and dont get the skill you want you can still become anything for the cleric class, any knight class, and executioner. They never use fighting III or magic use III anyway. Its as simple as stop using mundane for high levels and not expecting some problems with obtaining everything.

so your saying because there is a mistake in the game we should just choose a new class... and besides.. instead of replying on this board, you could've fixed the manuscript.
ps. as game players, we have the right to complain about things like these.

that question is already answered by the following quote:
in other words, apoc didn't design this game for the mundane class to level as easily as the higher classes so the players should know the pros and cons of leveling as a mundane.
he didn't "fix" the manuscript because he doesn't feel its necessary.
he's not saying anything against the right to complain, he's saying he doesn't know why people keep complaining about this because like i said, he doesn't feels its necessary.
