The source code for the Akarra server has been released! This means I will be able to alter and fix many things about the game that were completely impossible before. Expect a few changes in akarra... but not yet, my life is still pretty messed up and even keeping the net for the server doesnt look so good right now. Keep an eye out for these will be the things I shall eventually change in akarra if the rest of the source is released(we dont have the client source code yet or the editors).
Spell Chanting/casting animation <- (not yet done)
On Death animation that spews blood as well as a different exit animation upon death. <- (not yet done)
Background Sounds <- perhaps , but likely not yet possible
Possible game music <- no chance of happening yet
Akarra interface re-arangement <- no chance of happenign yet
Monster/char apearing animation change, rather then fading <-might be possible.
Attack semi-animation, char moves tword enemy slightly with each swing, then sliding back to place. <- possible
Class description/requirement change <- not yet possible
Flying/Eatheral ability <- (not yet done)
Different approach to dual weild/better method <- (not yet done)
Tracking Ability <- (not yet done)
Transforms <- (not yet done)
Removal of 1 step away requirement for bows <- likely possible
Creation of a Guild, rename current guild ability to clans <- not yet possible
Waterwalk/Boats for multiple chars to board and ride <- Water Walk, yes. Boats.... maybe?
Thrid sprite selection on area editor <- (not yet done)
All sectors unlocked <- (not yet done)
Party names give bonouses <- likely possible
Ability to run multiple clients on 1 pc fix <- not yet possible
The ones that are marked cant be done or not possible I would need the other parts of the source for, the likely ones im pretty sure can all be done. Akarra will still be the same, but it will pick up some fancy new abilities and features. Once agian, no work on the source can be dont by me just yet, there are plans for when I have the time and money to work on them.
The future for akarra looks good, wait until I get some free time and enjoy the changes to come!
